Is Securr Bear-Proof?

Securr sells trash and recycling receptacles and describes some as bear-proof. We checked what its own pages say against the official IGBC lists.

The Core Idea

"Securr" is not on the IGBC lists. BearSaver, the brand Securr's pages connect to its bear-proof products, is. The two are not the same thing on paper.

What Securr's Pages Say

Securr's website now redirects to trash-cans.com, which sells trash and recycling receptacles, specialty containers, and donation bins for public spaces. Its blog describes a BearSaver line of bear-proof products as Securr's own, and a page for one model, the CE135M-CH, says it is also bear-proof and bear-resistant.

Neither page makes an IGBC claim, names a certification number, or says the model is certified. BearSaver's own site, and its parent company's brand page, do not mention Securr, so we can't tell you from public pages how the two are related.

What We Verified

  • "Securr" appears nowhere on the IGBC confirmed or unconfirmed lists (both dated October 22, 2026).
  • BearSaver does appear, with many certified models. Our BearSaver review covers the company and its lineup.
  • The IGBC list names a "CE Series" under BearSaver at the series level (#5385). It does not name the CE135M-CH, so we can't say that exact Securr model is covered by it.

What to Do Before You Buy

If your ordinance or project requires an IGBC-certified container, ask the seller for the IGBC certification number and the exact model name it covers, then look both up on IGBC's official list. You can also compare certified bear-proof trash cans and every brand we track.

Quick Answers

Securr's pages describe some models as bear-proof, but Securr is not on the IGBC lists and its pages cite no certification number. The BearSaver brand it connects to is on the lists.
