Other Bear-Resistant Brands
Every product on the rest of this site has a real, current certification number we checked ourselves — IGBC or WMI/SEAFWA. This section is different on purpose: it covers brands real people search for by name that don't currently appear on either official list — not to rank them, but to give an honest answer to the question we know people are actually asking.
A long-operating manufacturer whose own marketing claims IGBC certification for specific models — but we could not find the brand or the certification number it cites anywhere on the current official IGBC list.
Sells public-space trash receptacles and describes some as bear-proof, tying them to BearSaver. 'Securr' is not on the IGBC lists, and its pages cite no certification number.
A 14-gallon bear-shaped park trash can from Glasdon. Despite the name, its own page makes no bear-resistance claim and it is not on either IGBC list.
Other Names People Search For
Bearpack and BearLocker: we found no entry for either name on the IGBC confirmed or unconfirmed lists dated October 22, 2026, and we could not identify a company behind either name. The nearest real certified product we found is ADOTEC's Ultralight Food Locker (Grizzly Bear Model, 14L), IGBC #245493, certified 2024-08-13. If you are shopping for backcountry food storage, see certified bear-proof canisters and bear-proof bags.
